Big Peat Thropaigeach is a 48% ABV Islay blended malt which has been finished in ex-Rum casks to impart a tropical influence. The striking bottle features a screen-printed design that features Big Peat (the brand’s Ileach Fisherman mascot) dressed as a pirate, representing the use of Caribbean rum casks in the whisky maturation.

This new single malt scotch whisky was distilled from lightly peated barley. The spirit was then divided into Pedro Ximénez sherry casks (9 years) and Jamaican rum casks (10 years). 34) and a Tomintoul 55 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Release No.36). The resulting single malt is lively with a hint of smoke.

Between 2019-2024, Nick Offerman collaborated with Lagavulin to release four Offerman Edition expressions, each 11 Years Old and bottled at 46% ABV, featuring cask finishes including Guiness, Charred Oak, and ex-Caribbean rum. The Offerman Charred Oak Edition was the first to be released across both the US and UK whisky markets.
