As for the beers, on the Schell side are a light, of course, Vienna lager, German pilsner, a pale ale, and seasonals that include dark German lager and Klsch. Counter Weight is also well known for its lagers; their Workhorse pilsner is my preferred order when getting wings at the famous J.

It’s all very tantalizing, esoteric, somewhat mysterious stuff and it’s no wonder so many people (myself included) were eager to read more about this far-flung company that was making neither whiskey nor gin nor vodka but, instead, “freeform spirits.” Maybe, it’s because being critical does no good in the viral news industrial complex.
