I first met Ali Reynolds shortly after BarLifeUK launched, over ten years ago. Since then, Ali has proved to me a master of making transitions – from bartender to ambassador, and now from established Old World whisky, in the form of Johnnie Walker, to upstart New World Whisky with Denmark’s Stauning Distillery. In this interview I talk to Ali about moving from bartender to brand, Scandinavian hospitality, influential folk he has worked with along the way, and his new gig with Staunin

Whether it’s for a casually festive function or an elegant affair, a Champagne glass is a signal of the celebratory.

Since the dawn of craft beer, bars have played a pivotal role in the boom of American brewing. Nowhere is this more true than at the more specialized spots: the beer bars, as we know them, with their thoughtful selections across tap lines and bottle lists, and their dedication to service, atmosphere, and education. The best ones are learning institutions —places of discovery and retention, from the emerging trends to the established tastes.

It would, in fact, be the first midwestern outpost for Brooklyn-based Other Half Brewing , the brewery famous for their wide variety of dry-hopped IPAs and becoming, as one Punch piece put it, “the official

Up until 2009, the name could refer to either the grape or the wine, allowing producers outside of the wine’s historic northern Italian home to use Prosecco grapes and bottle it as such. The grape was officially renamed Glera to help differentiate and protect the Prosecco DOC, which is further divided into smaller regions representing higher tiers of quality.
