A Delhi court sent Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha, who is also the daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, to judicial custody until 9th April in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case. K Kavitha was arrested under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). She was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from Hyderabad on 15th March.

Brown-Forman-owned Jack Daniel’s has released a bonded rye whiskey. It is the third expression in its Bonded Series. The bonded rye whisky has a grain bill of 70 percent rye, 18 percent corn, and 12 percent malted barley, and follows on from previous bonded releases in the range. The whiskey’s notes begin with sweet dried fruit and then follow with hints of toffee and caramel.

At least 21 people have died in Punjab’s Sangrur district after consuming suspected spurious liquor, according to the reports. After the incident, the Punjab government has constituted a “high-level” Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident. According to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Sangrur, at least 40 people were admitted to the hospital after consuming spurious liquor that contained ethanol.
