Pernod Ricard India achieves Rs 25000 crore revenue in FY 23

Pernod Ricard India has announced a noteworthy achievement, reporting a revenue of over Rs25,000 crore for the fiscal year 2022-23, reflecting a 10 percent annual growth. India is the second largest market globally for Pernod Ricard after the US. The company experienced an 8 percent decline in profits, totaling Rs. 1,340.22 crore in FY23, in contrast to the Rs 1,457.98 crore profit posted in FY22.

Beam Suntory to sell Courvoisier to Campari

Beam Suntory will exit the Cognac category with the sale of Courvoisier to Campari Group for US$1.2 billion. The deal will enable Campari to ‘significantly step up’ its presence in the US and facilitate it to ‘transform’ its growth profile in Asia and global travel retail. Courvoisier is one of the world’s biggest Cognac brands. It sold 1.2 million nine-litre cases in 2022, down by 19.4 percent as compared to 2021, according to The Brand Champions 2023 report.
