I think the best thing about the Island single malts is that they all vary, despite being clubbed into one category. Orchard fruits like apples, pears, and cherries all play out their influence in the taste of Speyside whiskies, and the spirits mature exceptionally well in the sherry cask.

The second expression, Blue Label: The Signature was a larger 100cl bottle released for travel retail, numbering 20,000 bottles.

Glenmorangie PLC sold the SMWS to a consortium of private investors, including the HotHouse Club and a group of financial investment managers in 2015. The SMWS created a pop-up venue in Battersea, London in Autumn 2018 to celebrate the society’s 35 th anniversary – the venue remained open until July 2019.
