This New Zealand-style pilsner is dry hopped with Rakau, Nelson Sauvin, and Motueka, all grown by Freestyle Hops, who are putting out some of the best hops in the world. And this stout in particular was one of my favorites from the Oregon producer. They also have one of the best teams of people you could meet. brewers in the country.
At the Wild East Brewing Company taproom in Brooklyn (one of the best breweries in the country right now, ahem), the Czech-style pilsner, Patience & Fortitude, is poured from a Lukr Faucet and arrives with a thick, fluffy head of aromatic foam. While the beer has a surprisingly crushable profile, it doesnt skimp on decadence.
Bands, rare beers, brandy old fashioneds - sounds like fun. The beer “is slightly sweeter and more full-bodied than German pilsners and with a slightly lower hopping rate” and has an awesome name. February 9th is Hopleaf’s twelfth-annual Super Stout Sunday. Lineup TBD.
