Liqueur , Vodka Bottega Gianduia “Chocolate Passion” Ingredients 1 oz Bottega Gianduia Hazelnut Liqueur 1 oz Sausage Tree Vodka 1 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream Raspberries (to garnish) Preparation Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Give these seasonal sippers a mix. Strain into a chilled Martini glass.

This week on Scotch Legends, we take a (nose)dive into the Springbank 12 Year Old 100 Proof, bottled in the 1980s for Samaroli. Be sure to read the previous installments of Scotch Whisky Legends here. Only 2,400 of these were ever produced, adding to the allure of this already famous bottling. Really breathtaking.

The Macallan 12 Year Old is a long-standing expression in the luxury distillery’s core range, having first been bottled independently in the 1960s. The oldest official bottling of Macallan 12 Year Old single malt scotch (crucially, not whisky liqueur) that I can find was bottled by Marshall Taplow in the 1960s.

It was bottled at cask strength in 2007 and released as part of Diageo’s Special Releases in that same year. Only 6,642 bottles were produced. The scotch garnered huge acclaim and notably impressed Serge Valentin at WhiskyFun. Who said this was an important bottling? The Lagavulin 16 Year Old is a very popular expression.
