Grab yourself 2oz of this whisky, and mix that down in a mixing jug or in a glass with ice, alongside 1oz of sugar syrup (lower it for personal taste), and a few dashes of bitters of your choice. I’d use orange or peach bitters to counteract those sulfur notes.

Finish: as long as a Neil Young guitar solo, maybe just a tad bitter now (the tannins are big) but with also some very, very ‘funny’ notes of raspberry eau-de-vie that make for an unexpected, yet most pleasant signature. Comments: Intertrade! According to my records, the bottle has only sold 12 times both in the UK and Europe.

Lots of resins and propolis, pine needles and dried herbs, bitter oranges, mastic candies and olive oil. Bitter chocolate, strong honey, herbal sweets. Mouth: ah, now it’s closer to the 30yo. Bold and rich, yet not lumpy at all, very woody but beautifully so. Turkish delights, pistachios, walnut skin… What a beauty!

Lots of citrons, lemons, quinces and peat, with a superb smokiness plus quite some paraffin, mastic flavoured sweets, small bitter oranges, gentian spirit, quince jelly, a little nutmeg and black pepper… The peat first lingers in the background but really comes to the front after a while, with an obvious ‘Broraness’.
