Donohue notes that the beer scene has matured considerably, but the city’s craft cocktails are still in their infancy, though the enthusiasm is there. Regular live music performances round out the ambience. In addition to an expansive whiskey collection, Uisce also preserved its original, custom-made mahogany bar.

Tennessee culture and its presidential history come together again for the ninth Sip of History, an afternoon of whiskey, wine and beer sampling and live music. The event is Saturday, April 9, at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage just outside of Nashville.

Or actually, a new bar along famous Whiskey Row in Prescott, AZ. Michael is on the site of the old Burke hotel, Prescott’s “only fireproof hotel,” which burned in “The Great Fire” of 1900 that destroyed much of Whiskey Row. The bar also serves local craft beers and wines.
