With their Grand Opening today, we’d like to officially welcome Demo to the Chicagoland beer scene! Even the most unadventurous of tourists now have no excuse not to get a local beer (of course, they should also stop at Crushed by Giants as well). Today, they open up the doors and welcome us all inside.

April is a busy month, so let’s get straight to our… First up: Tomorrow morning, The Beer Temple will sell tickets to this year’s Cantillon Zwanze Day. VIP tickets and higher add an hour of extra access to the fest beers, food from Craft Urban and a code for a free ride home from Lyft. Great idea!

Primarily due to the Hofbrauhaus beer garden, the La Mesa Oktoberfest is a good party scene. The event features vendors, three biergartens with a rotating polka band, beer stein contests, the chicken dance and, of course, German food and lots of beer. La Mesa Oktoberfest Biergartens Barmaids serve big beers at Oktoberfest.

At each, you can drink beer out large steins, listen to oompha bands and do the chicken dance. It features an oompha band brought in from Germany, lots of German beers and raffle drawings with the grand prize being a trip for two to Germany. The cost is $15 ($5 on Sundays) and beers are $8. 27-19 and Oct.

We built a full-service bar experience in the festival, with two bars on festival grounds: one in general admission and one in VIP.
