Beermiscuous Highwood hosts a bonsai workshop and demo on Sunday but check their calendar for their We+Su Beer Stand featuring Japanese-style pour service throughout the month.

Sketchbook’s celebration is already on their calendar as well, and while not a true Oktoberfest celebration, I think it’s worth mentioning that the Metropolitan beers from Short Fuse are getting a proper release party (with brats and schnitzel) one week from today. The busy brewery event summer continues this week.
The amount of 10th anniversary events emerging over the last few weeks have made me wonder: Was May-June 2014 the busiest time in Chicago craft beer history? Hailstorm Brewing also celebrates ten years of beers with a party on Saturday and a special anniversary release of their GABF medal-winning Prairie Madness Pale Ale.
