The Balvenie Fifty Collection The Balvenie Fifty Collection will consist of just 375 bottles that will be released annually (125 per year) from August 7th, 2024 until the end of 2026. Finally, in 2026, the Final Edition will be released: a vatting of whiskies from the First and Second Edition casks as well as a 1974 American oak barrel.

Then, three days after my chat with Jenson came the announcement that Carlos Sainz, who currently drives for Ferrari , will be moving to Williams for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Sainz’s signing, and the upcoming regulation changes in 2026, constitute a pivotal point in the history of Formula 1. And Maybe Williams too.

The Sherry Edition was the initial set to be released, The Port Edition – its successor and the most recent release – will be followed by a third Edition in 2025 before the last Edition will be unveiled in 2026. Only time will tell what exciting collaborations and casks we will see for the last two sets in this series.

If The Dalmore continues its current pattern of releases, we can expect the series to be rounded off with a 50 Year Old expression, and perhaps a 17 Year Old ‘Collectible’ in 2025 or 2026. Richard Paterson OBE, one of the foremost figures in the scotch whisky industry, is sure to have a hand in the creation of the expressions.

The Twelve’ Ownership Perks The lucky owner of the Brora 1977 #2845 will receive a special invitation to the distillery in 2026 where they will be offered the chance to fill a brand new Brora cask. They will also be gifted “two unique artefacts that set them apart from other Brora collectors.”

Bring on the World Cup 2026. Grab a bottle of something good, or something you want to kill off (just like your team’s chances of winning the Euros) and have a hefty pour of it. This should calm the disappointment and make all of the intensity of a national tournament fade away for another two years.

Chapters Three and Four are expected to be released in 2025 and 2026 respectively, with Chapter Five coming in 2027, marking Ballantine’s 200th anniversary. They are now available at global specialist retailers for an RRP of $12,000. Chapter One, The Remembering , was released in 2023.
