It was sold at Whisky Auctioneer in 2021 for £15,500 , and remains the only bottle ever brought to market.

In partnership with BlockBar, Glenfiddich Distillery is releasing a rare 1985 cask bottling, with just 150 bottles estimated to be yielded from the cask. Credit: Diageo Johnnie Walker , one of the world’s most beloved blended scotch whisky brands, has unveiled the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ultra, believed to be the lightest whisky bottle. Diageo has stated that the “previously claimed ‘lightest weight scotch whisky bottle’ was launched by a UK retailer and weighed around 298 grams.”

Following the purchase by Angus Dundee in 2000, the distillery began to produce single malt bottlings including a 10 year old and a 15 year old in 2008. The architectural features of the distillery, which will celebrate its bicentenary in 2025, will also be used in the construction of the new center.
