The distillery has also produced Isle of Raasay Gin, which went on sale in 2019. R&B Distillers was founded in 2014 by Alasdair Day and Bill Dobbie, who quickly established the first legal distillery on the island of Raasay in 2017. The inaugural whisky release from Isle of Raasay Distillery hit the shelves in 2020.

Production began in October of that year and the distillery opened to visitors in 2019. Innovations included a new bottling line, an updated wood quality policy, and gin distillation. It is no surprise, then, that Kilchoman’s work ethic has seen a number of young single malts come to the market, and capacity almost double in 2019.
