One such bottle of Glenrothes whisky is the Glenrothes 1957 22 Year Old Cadenhead Dumpy. The whisky was bottled from a sherry cask – a Speyside staple – in July of that year at 80 proof.

In a collaboration between Glen Scotia Distillery , located in Campbeltown , and The Maclean Foundation , 210 bottles of a single cask release will be sold to raise funds for clean water projects. Each bottle sold will provide one person with clean water for life.

Also known as ‘The Genesis Decanter’ the whisky signified a new chapter in Macallan ’s history, the start of production at the new distillery, and was the oldest single malt bottling from The Macallan when released in 2018. Only 600 individually numbered Genesis Decanters were produced, bottled at 42% ABV.
