Credit: Bushmills Irish Whiskey Bushmills Irish Whiskey has released the second round of its Private Reserve Limited Release series. Consisting of four vintage single malt whiskeys with various experimental cask finishes, the whiskeys showcase the versatility of Bushmills single malt.
However, this whiskey was not created with avid whiskey fans in mind. Instead, it was created as a fun and quirky expression, at a lower ABV and perhaps with a more approachable profile for those not accustomed to drinking whiskey. This is something that needs to be taken into account when you first try this whiskey.
Founders Albert Peters, Edwin Pooley, and Edgar McClain began making fruit wine and brandies from the abundance of fruit in the region, taking only a brief hiatus to make industrial alcohol for the war effort.
