In 2010, we founded the Denver International Beer Competition. In 2014, we started the North American Bourbon and Whiskey Competition. Accurate alcohol percentages are a must! The incorrect alcohol percentage stated during the entry process can also work against an entrant’s results. Glassware matters a lot!
The International Whisky Competition (IWC) has a long track record of judging only whiskies, from any country, going back to its inception in 2010. The tasting sheet focuses on each aspect of a whisky, such as sight, nose complexity, aroma intensity, balance, palate complexity, alcohol, balance, and finish quality.
